Measuring the number of parodies vs. number of views / favorites. Interestingly, it seems the number of interactions from or on older commercials also increases as we bring out new spots. Seems like we in the internet space need to coin a phrase (or perhaps borrow one from mathematics) about how “new” entries (links, pages, videos) re-inforce the older, existing pages, links, videos etc…This gives rise to the “king of the hill” phenomenom we see, where an established site keeps getting more and more backlinks, page rank, etc. Seems to also apply to word of mouth items, though I’ve not seen anyone “document” this….Hmmm.
